Beautification/Service Day

Have a few hours to spare with your workplace, organization, family, or friends? Consider joining us at the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run to help us keep Willing Warrior's 37 acres of grounds welcoming to the wounded, ill, or injured warriors and veterans, and their families we serve.

Please sign up and provide an email for each group lead or individual planning to come. We will use this contact information to let you know if the day needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather no later than 9 pm the night prior to the event.

Tasks to be completed will vary upon needs, but may include: raking/bagging leaves, clearing trails, weeding, mowing, edging, turning mulch in gardens, painting fences, tree removal, wood cutting/splitting/stacking, brush clearing, planting of bushes/plants, or pruning.

Using GPS to find us can be tricky- the best way to come is past the Haymarket Walmart on John Marshall Hwy/55 and take a right on Antioch Road (towards Camp Snyder).  At the "T" in the road, take a right onto Waterfall Road.  We are a smidge over .7 miles to our entrance from that intersection.  The entrance is at the bottom of a hill, and you will go straight up the driveway instead of following the road around the curve.

You may also take Hwy 15/James Madison Hwy past Long Park and take a left at the 7/11 onto Waterfall Road/601.  Drive 2.1, almost 2.2 miles, then take a left into our driveway (be careful, as you are turning from a curve).

You will see two stone pillars and a driveway that winds upward. 

When you arrive, please check in inside the garage. There will be a Willing Warrior's representative there to greet you. You will need to sign a volunteer liability waiver and provide emergency contact info.

Please bring your own work gloves, water bottle, and tools, labeled with your name/phone number.
